Not only has rap star Yo Gotti prepared new music for fans this coming Friday, but he is also keeping the fight for prison reform at the forefront of everything he does as well. Produced by super-producer Tay Keith, Gotti’s upcoming single titled “Stay Ur Distance” will be released this coming Friday via CMG, which is the rapper’s fully-independent label.
In addition to new music, Gotti has also revealed that he has joined forces with REFORM Alliance, which is a criminal justice reform organization by Meek Mill and Michael Rubin. In an official press release, Yo Gotti shares his thoughts and feelings on partnering with REFORM, as he states, “REFORM and I share the same goals – to protect the people inside of Mississippi’s prisons, fix the dangerous prison conditions that led to several unnecessary deaths and improve the state’s criminal justice system.”
Yo Gotti continues, “I’m proud to team up with REFORM on this initiative and we hope that Mississippi lawmakers will prioritize this issue and help us save lives.” Gotti will also support REFORM with his recorded radio campaign, which will be played across Mississippi and aim to keep the historic Senate Bill 2123 alive.
