Following Sunday morning reports of Tory Lanez being arrested due to having a concealed weapon in his vehicle, rapper Megan thee Stallion, who was in the car with Lanez, has revealed shocking updates to the situation via Instagram. Although law enforcement sources are saying that Megan told police that she had cut her foot on glass that night, Megan is saying otherwise as she reveals that she was actually shot in her foot.

Taking to Instagram to set the record straight, Megan states, “The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight. On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets.” Megan continues on, “I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night. I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.”

In response to recent revelations, LAPD says, “At the time Megan was with police she did not report that she was the victim of any crime. And the LAPD has not received any additional information at this time.” The situation took place early Sunday after Megan and Tory attended Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills party. Police arrived in response to reports of multiple gunshots outside of the event. In video footage obtained by TMZ, Tory can be seen already lying down on the pavement while an injured Megan holds her hands up and walks backwards to police leaving a trail of blood from her foot. Another woman was also in the SUV and can be seen following police instructions to exit the vehicle as well. Megan was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Currently recovering, Megan admits that the situation has been an “eye opener and a blessing in disguise.” While Tory Lanez has been booked for possession of a concealed weapon, he has not been connected to the shooting.
