Beyoncé Delivers Trailer to Her Upcoming “Black Is King” Film Headed to Disney+

After a quick post-and-delete from Chloe x Halle’s Instagram page, the official trailer to Beyoncé’s surprising yet exciting new film “Black Is King” has surfaced all across social media. “Black Is King” will premiere on July 31st and will officially join Disney+’s growing streaming collection. The forthcoming visual film will highlight Beyonce’s highly acclaimed “The Gift” album, which accompanied Disney’s 2019 retelling of “The Lion King.” Beyonce’s “Black Is King” comes shortly after rumors spread wide of the superstar inking a $100 million deal with Disney for three TBA films. Fans were beyond shocked when the film’s trailer surfaced online as the Beyhive immediately took to Twitter to share their reactions. Providing viewers with a peek into what Beyoncé and Disney have in store, the trailer showcases black culture through artistic, expressive, and authentic black people in an aesthetically stunning manner. While Beyoncé has always been a clear advocate for her community, she has boldly stepped forward in 2020 to stand for black equality. In addition to beginning her “Black Parade” initiative, which has played a major part in assisting black-owned businesses, Beyoncé delivered a single of the same name and collaborated with Houston rap star Megan Thee Stallion in support of COVID-19 relief in Houston.
