Bad Bunny Pays Tribute to Kobe Bryant With New Song “6 Rings”
by Staff Editor
Honoring the late Kobe Bryant, who lost his life in a helicopter crash this past Sunday, Bad Bunny’s newest track “6 Rings” finds the artist being open and honest on his grief for Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant. Bad Bunny’s latest record includes commentary from Bryant’s 81-point game against the Toronto Raptors in 2006. Through the use of a passionate track and moving lyrics, the musician succeeds at providing a true tribute with “6 Rings.”
On the record, Bad Bunny grieves for Bryant and his daughter Gianna as he says, “Congratulations, you also won 6 rings. Five in the NBA, a marriage that gave you your daughters. Thinking that one left with you makes me lose control, but, nah it’s for you to have someone to play with in heaven.”
After hearing the tragic news of Bryant’s passing, Bad Bunny created a post saying, “I still remember the first time I saw a basketball game, at age 7 with my dad, and it was a game of this genius. From that day on he became my favorite player forever.” In addition to Bad Bunny, many stars continue to pay tribute to Bryant and his daughter like Kanye West and Chance the Rapper have done with their Sunday Service performance.
