The Marathon continues.

Nipsey Hussle will receive a star-studded salute at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy has officially announced an all-star tribute to the late rapper during the telecast next weekend.

Meek Mill, YG, Roddy Ricch, DJ Khaled, John Legend, and Kirk Franklin will all take the stage to pay posthumous honor to the three-time Grammy nominee.

“An activist, entrepreneur and rapper, Nipsey Hussle had a lasting impact on not just his community, but also the culture at large,” said Grammy executive producer Ken Ehrlich. “There is no denying the influence he had and his legacy will be felt for generations to come. We are honored to bring together this amazing group of artists to celebrate Nipsey’s life and pay tribute to his many contributions to music. It’s sure to be a memorable performance.”

It has been reported that the Recording Academy will be paying homage to the late Nipsey Hussle at the 62nd Annual Grammy Award. HITS Daily Double stated that the Grammys is preparing a “major segment”  to celebrate the rapper’s life and musical contributions.

For this year’s Grammy Awards, Nipsey is nominated for three awards: Best Rap Performance for Racks in the Middle, Best Rap Song for Racks in the Middle, and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for Higher. Last year, two months prior to his death, Nipsey’s Victory Lap was nominated for album of the year.

Last week, it was reported that Victory Lap has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

An official statement about a Nipsey Hussle tribute has not been released by the Recording Academy. The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards will take place next Sunday, January 26th at 8 pm. The ceremony will be hosted by Alicia Keys and air on CBS.
