Beyoncé & Lizzo Lead Nominations For 2020 NAACP Image Awards

Nominations for the NAACP Image Awards are finally here as the 51st edition of the program finds superstars Beyoncé and Lizzo leading the nominations for this year’s show. Lizzo is the second most nominated female artist this time around with six nominations including Music Video and Female Artist of the Year, while Beyoncé has earned eight nominations including Variety Special, Documentary, and Album of the Year.

The category of Entertainer of the Year is already stirring up much conversation as Lizzo, Tyler Perry, Billy Porter, Regina King, and Angela Bassett are all in the running for the honorable award. Airing on BET networks, the show will highlight the categories of music, television, film, and much more on a major media platform. Recognizing black entertainers in the industry, the NAACP Image Awards will air February 22nd, 2020.
