Lizzo ties Iggy Azalea’s record for longest-charting No. 1 by a female rapper

Lizzo has earned a historic seventh week atop the Billboard Hot 100 with “Truth Hurts.” The song now ties Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” featuring Charli XCX as the longest rule ever for a rap song by a female artist.
The song first topped the Hot 100 on Sept. 7 and spent its first six weeks at No. 1.
Lizzo took to Instagram and expressed her gratitude for the accomplishment. The rapper also reported that if “Truth Hurts” can hold on to the top spot for one more week, she will have the title all to herself.
Even if “Truth Hurts” doesn’t claim the record, Lizzo’s winning streak is still on a good role. “Good As Hell,” another song of hers, is surging through the Top 40, landing this week at No. 20.
