Ever since the news spread that SZA helped a fan get a new kidney and cover the cost of chemo, the superstar has received praise for her generous and genuine act. Venture Communications CEO Arlene Dickinson recently took to Twitter to ask, “What’s the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?” In response, one of SZA’s fans, who goes by @leahjavon on Twitter, revealed to Dickinson that SZA offered her help while she was ill. Replying to Dickinson, the fan states, “SZA gave me her #, got me into two concerts of hers free & on tour bus, sent me & my wife to Universal Studios before I started chemo, helped me pay for chemo, donated $ (which will remain undisclosed), shared my fundraiser several times, & helped find me a kidney.”
Previous tweets from SZA later resurfaced as a 2017 tweet found the musician reaching out to fans for help in finding a blood type match that would be willing to donate a kidney and a liver to the fan. SZA tweeted out, “She could die. My brave bean,” alerting fans of the urgent situation at hand. Reaching out further to update social media, SZA later went on to share, “morning my loves! my angel @leahjavon is now experiencing multiple organ failure and is in DESPERATE need of a kidney AND liver! if u live in the Dallas area and have O- O+ B+ or B- blood type PLEASE test to be a match !”
While SZA was commended for her act of generosity, her fans sent support to Leah, recognizing her strength and resilience according to Revolt TV. Fortunately, we will be hearing more from SZA in the news as she also revealed that she is set to drop all-new music very soon. Back in July, the TDE artist shared plans of releasing a “little project” before putting out her next full-length album.
