Last Friday, Memphis native Yo Gotti gave back to the community that made him and taught him the “art of hustle.”

According to Fox 13, Gotti gave out approximately 500 vouchers to students of Memphis’s Grandview Heights Middle School to pick up their uniforms. The vouchers valued to roughly $12,000.

“We want to make sure everybody got uniforms for the year,” said Yo Gotti.“We want to make sure everybody [does their] best this year in school…make sure you have perfect attendance, be on time, so you can get this money in the real world, you know what I’m saying?”

Yo Gotti also gifted free laptops to the six of the top-performing students at the middle school. According to Fox 13, the donation is a partnership between SchoolSeed, Wolfchase Galleria and Village Mart to encourage students to come to school prepared to learn every day.
