Say it ain’t so. Throughout his legendary career as an artist and businessman, Snoop Dogg is not one to follow trends or any bandwagon. As we know, when talking about the infamous Suge Knight only a few positive thoughts come to mind. Instead of focusing on the negative, let’s do a recap: Suge Knight is the co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records. After Dr. Dre’s 1992 album, The Chronic, the label’s success drastically rose which bloomed artists like 2Pac,  Outlawz, Tha Dogg Pound, and Snoop Dogg.

Based on Death Row Records’ history, some dirty laundry have been leaked over the years that has put Suge in a not so good place. More recently, Snoop Dogg cleared some air and decided to lay out his opinions of an old friend, Suge Knight in the song “Let Bygones be Bygones.”

“I’m cool with Suge, Master P, Dr. Dre, I’m cool with everybody. But I had to go get that cool with him. I had to sit down with Suge, this man changed my life / We made history together,” [Suge] “did some bullshit, when we was down, he helped pick n***as up.”  -Snoop on “Let Bygones be Bygones”

As we wait for his upcoming album, I Wanna Thank Me, which will be released on Aug. 16th, the Uncle of Rap gave us a little taste of what to expect. According to Billboard, Snoop addresses his plans for performing the song live:

“That’s a real musical song, very musical, where I’ll probably have a proper band up there playing the musical pieces and give it an array of sound that normally you don’t see in a hip-hop show.”
