Khalid & Lil Nas X Top Mid-Year Nielson R&B/Hip Hop Charts

‘Free Spirit’, Khalid‘s sophomore album, and “Old Town Road” top Nielson’s mid-year R&B/hip-hop charts, being 2019’s best-selling records so far.

According to Billboard, from January 4 to June 20, ‘Free Spirit’ earned 929,000 album units in the U.S., also reigning as the highest-selling R&B/hip hop album of 2019 with 148,000 copies sold so far. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie‘s ‘Hoodie SZN’ follows at No. 2, with Post Malone‘s ‘beerbongs & bentleys’ and Drake‘s ‘Scorpion’ following behind.

Lil Nas X‘s mega-hit tops as Nielson’s biggest streaming R&B/hip-hop song so far in 2019 with 1.34 billion on-demand streams, and 958,000 downloads sold. Followed behind is Post Malone with “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)” and “Wow.”, and Cardi B and Bruno Mars with “Please Me”.
