The marathon is still continuing after Nipsey Hussle’s untimely death. To add to his other accomplishments, Puma has decided to go forth with releasing the collaboration they were working on together prior to his death.
Brand and Marketing Global Director Adam Petrick confirmed the collab in an announcement at the Wall Street Journal’s Future of Everything Festival.
“We had a lot of things that were coming, and hopefully a lot of things we will still do with his estate. We’ll work with his family and we’ll support his kids,” he said.
Puma will also be having charity activations to continue the work Nipsey was doing in his community. “We’re going to continue to release some product that we’ve created with him. We’ve also got some charity activations that we’ll do to support what he was doing in Crenshaw, and trying to continue the work that he was doing through his foundation.”
Prior to his death, Nipsey announced that Puma and his brand The Marathon created a collaborative collection that would release in Fall 2019. He had already been an active endorser for the brand, appearing in several campaigns for the RS-X “Trophies” and the PUMA x Coogi line.
