For years, the world has been asking if Ice Cube would reprise another “Friday” to add to the anthology. While rumor after rumor has gotten us excited, Ice Cube says a new Friday film is in the works.

During a visit on ESPN’s The Jump to promote his BIG 3 League, Cube dropped some major deets on the film’s current state. “Yeah, we pushing for it. We finished the script, we are getting notes from the studio and it’s going back and forth.” The “Today Was A Good Day” rapper also said he’s aiming to release it next year on the 25th anniversary of the original film.
