Roc Nation Steps In To Help Lil Uzi Vert Amid Battle With Record Company
by Staff Editor
Lil Uzi Vert has been in a limbo with his record label, Generation Now for the past few months.
Since then, the battle between both sides has reached social media, with fans using the hashtag #FreeUzi, a campaign started by the rapper to free his upcoming album, ‘Eternal Atake’. In a recent post on Uzi’s Instagram story, the “XO TOUR Llife3” rapper posted him with the caption “back in the studio… thank”, tagging Roc Nation.
According to a close source to the situation, Uzi is now being managed by Roc Nation. The music label founded by Jay Z has been coming to the defense for many of today’s hottest rappers.
The label backed Lil Wayne after Cash Money hindered the release of his Tha Carter V album, allowing the rapper to release his Free Weezy Album through Roc Nation. Most recently, they have also worked with Meek Mill and 21 Savage amid their legal troubles.
