Recently, Blueface sat down to talk with The New York Times about his stellar rise from a SoundCloud artist to topping the Billboard charts.
In the article, the “Thotiana” rapper discusses his vast popularity from being a known LA rapper to collaborating with Cardi B and YG. He also talks about how Blueface is actually a character of his, saying “Blueface is probably 10 times Johnathan,” he said. “Every rapper, I don’t give a [expletive] what they tell you, they got two different personalities — they not like that when they at home.”
Blueface also gets personal in the interview when talking about his upbringing, as well as his short stint with college football. Once he realized that wasn’t what he wanted to do, he said, “It made Blueface be able to be Blueface 100 percent.”
