In her latest video for “Butterfly”, a pregnant Kehlani is seen coming out of her cocoon before transforming into a beautiful mother butterfly . In the Trey Lyons-directed video, the glowing muva creates her own take of metamorphosis with the help of students and faculty from her alma mater, Oakland School of the Arts.

The “Nunya” singer went to Instagram to thank her former school as well as her director, who is the youngest director she’s ever worked with. “Thank you Oakland School for the Arts for cultivating such a beautiful community, and teaching me so much of what I use today in my career,” said the Oakland native.

“Butterfly” follows up with her video for “Nunya” featuring Dom Kennedy, which is off of her latest mixtape, ‘While We Wait’.
