2 Chainz Releases New Album “Rap or Go to the League”
by Staff Editor
2 Chainz newly released fifth studio album is definitely unlike any other with NBA champion LeBron James as the A&R. The Apple Music Exclusive release features an in-depth conversation as well as a behind-the-scenes trailer of James and 2 Chainz discussing the album’s strategies, as well as a list of featured artist.
Rap or Go to the League follows 2 Chainz two 2018 EPs, The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It and Hot Wings Are a Girl’s Best Friend.
Per a statement, Rap or Go to the League “challenges the notion that the only way out of the inner city is either to become a rapper or a ball player… [the album] flips that trope on its head, celebrating black excellence and focusing on the power of education and entrepreneurship.”
The 14-track album features collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, Chance the Rapper, Kodak Black, E-40 and Marsha Ambrosius.
Outside of music 2 Chainz is also preparing for his third season of his Viceland show, Most Expensivest, which is set to premiere later this year.
