Controversial hip-hop star Tekashi 6ix9ine may be set free from prison as early as January 2020. Due to his full cooperation with law enforcement, it is appearing less likely that 6ix9ine is in prison for the 47 years that he was originally faced with had he been convicted on all charges. With 6ix9ine’s full cooperation, The Southern District of New York’s U.S. Attorney’s Office states in a newly unsealed plea deal that they are “not to prosecute the defendant for the crimes set forth in Counts One through Nine… as well as additional crimes that the defendant has told the government about.”

Moving forward, the final decision on 6ix9ine’s sentencing will be made on Jan. 24, 2020 by a federal judge. 6ix9ine may also receive witness protection following his release as his cooperation with the law in regards to his and others involvement in gang affairs is leading many to believe that the rapper will be in much danger without it. 6ix9ine has wrapped himself up in a dramatic and tricky case as his willingness to testify against his co-defendants may lead to him receiving little to no time, but past gang affairs have shown us just how tragic cases, such as this, could end up. Even 6ix9ine’s baby mother, Sara Molina, sat down with VladTV for an interview where she indicates her concern around 6ix9ine’s release and the safety of their family as they co-parent their 3-year-old daughter Saraiyah. With the plea agreement recently surfacing, more updates on 6ixine’s case will follow.
