After her historic Oscar noms last year for her role in ‘Mudbound’, many thought that Mary J. Blige was taking a break from music to purse more acting roles. Thankfully, God and Mary heard our prayers and our favorite auntie has new music on the way.

During a press run for her latest acting gig, ‘The Umbrella Academy’, MJB sat down on Good Morning America to give fans an update on all things music. The R&B queen doesn’t go into detail about when the new music will drop, but she did say fans will enjoy it. “It reflects all of our lives as women that are bosses and know that they can say they’re bosses right now.”
