Don Q Accuses Tory Lanez Of Biting His Flow On ‘I’m Not Joyner’; Tory Responds “F–k outta here”
by Karen

When Tory Lanez decided to proclaim himself “the best rapper alive right now,” it’s unclear if everyone was standing at attention. The Toronto rapper/singer started comparing himself to some of the best out at the moment that had their chances to go “bar for bar” with him.

Don Q responded almost immediately at Tory Lanez with a scathing diss track. On ‘I’m Not Joyner,’ Q accuses Lanez of biting his flow and bars.
The tension between Don Q and Tory seems to originate from Lanez’ November 2017 Hot 97 interview, where he freestyled over Nas’“Oochie Wally” beat. The Canadian MC seemed to mimic Q’s performance in a July 2016 Hot 97 freestyle.
The original beef Q picks up on between Lanez and Joyner Lucas, which led to several diss tracks back and forth between them eventually pushing Lanez to declare he was a better rapper than Lucas on Instagram Live. Lanez would eventually crown himself victorious in late November 2018.
Genius detailed the timeline of the Lucas/Lanez beef.
Prior to dropping ‘I’m Not Joyner,’ Don Q posted side-by-side videos of he and Lanez freestyling on Instagram, drawing attention to the similarity of their lyrics and flows prompting the diss.
Q doesn’t mince his words in the diss.
I ain’t Joyner Lucas, never went to college I’m a corner student. Before the music white tainted pills and it’s all-inclusive. This ain’t what you wanted stupid. I threw the bait huge mistake you bout to fall into it.
Tory has since responded to the diss with a simple, “That’s what you came with, n*gga? Fuck outta here.”
