Teyana is “not your average showgirl” in her long-awaited visual to last summer’s ‘WTP’ lifted from her album KTSE.

Never shying away from her consistent ballroom culture inspiration, the nearly 9-minute short film also takes cues from Cinderella. Teyana plays the Cinderella character from the House of Petunia, who does the chores around the house and styles the dancers, with dreams of one day going to the ball. “Ballroom dancing is self-expression,” a dancer proclaims, featuring cameos from familiar faces including “Love & Hip Hop’s” Milan Christopher, model Shaun Ross, Big Freedia and Legendary Damon. Shot documentary style, the video also features legendary fixtures in the ballroom scene from Mizrahi, Lanvin, Mugler and more.

“I just don’t understand why I’m not good enough to work my pussy at the ball,” Teyana states before her “Fairy Cunt Motha” eventually appears and encourages her to follow her dreams: “Save your tears, honey. You’re a motherfuckin’ diva.”

Rocking a red wig, Miss Taylor heads to the ball where she impresses everyone with her stunts, outfits, and realness. She even catches the eye of Lena Waithe, who tries to find out the identity of the mystery dancer. “Some real next level. Looked like Grace Jones and Janet Jackson had a baby”.
