The DC rapper has always had a way of toggling in between his R&B influences and his Rap prowess. For the latest COLORS Series, GoldLink gets melodic on ‘Justine’s Interlude’ which was rumored to have been about Justine Skye, the rapper contemplates,  “You do something to me / I write all my song about women I never keep.”

Normally veering from the overtly sentimental, the ‘Crew’ rapper opens up head-on about losing friend, and fellow rapper Mac Miller. “Mac died, and I couldn’t talk / Couldn’t bear the thought / Two days before it, we was talkin’ ‘bout love and loss / Then he mentioned Ariana’s mom, and newer songs / Never told a soul, but I knew he was dead all along.”

Take a look at the talented rapper’s COLORS series above and let us know what you think.
