After releasing her sophomore album Room 25, Chicago lyricist Noname drops her very  first music video, for the song “Blaxploitation.”

However, she doesn’t show her face in the video at all, but instead she uses the visual to juxtapose the “thumbed scales of innocence and criminality that black kids are forced to confront while growing up in the city,” (NPR).

In the Alex Lill- directed clip you’ll see city streets and buildings gleaming under a full moon, featuring a little black boy who seems to be a giant. Check it out here with us!
