Tekashi69 was recently transferred to a new detention center after he asked to be in a unit away from the Crips and the Bloods. Although the new facility is usually used to house witnesses who cooperate, the rapper’s team made it clear that the transfer was for safety concerns only.

According to TMZ, someone in 6ix9ine’s crew is snitching, and the possibilityis making the rapper’s team nervous. Prosecutors say that they are working with a confidential informant who’s made recordings that could send Tekashi to prison for life.

“Anytime there is a confidential informant, there is cause for concern,” says Lance Lazaro, 69’s attorney. “I am confident that any recorded conversations with [Tekashi] will prove that he was never a part of the Enterprise and support the conclusion that he’s innocent.”
