Travis Scott Honored In Houston With Astroworld Day
by Staff Editor
Over the weekend, Travis Scott hit the stage in his hometown for his inaugural Astroworld Festival. Afterwards, the city declared November 18th as Astroworld Day.
According to XXL, Travis Scott hip up Houston’s City Hall to accept a special proclamation that officially recognized the special day.
“I grew up here my whole life. I was inspired by Astroworld. In ’05 when they took it away, it kind of like took a big piece of my heart away. I didn’t have anywhere to go,” he says. “I just wanted to kind of bring back that feeling and give this city something so they can always have something fun to do.”

Thank you, @trvisXX for stopping by city hall the day after your successful #AstroworldFest2018 . Your message to the high school students in the room left a great impression. #TravisScott pic.twitter.com/EePpeNsfiW
