It was reported that Tekashi69 is a “rapping gangbanger who dealt drugs and ordered shootings of rivals to maintain the status of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods,” according to federal prosecutors during sweeping indictment Monday.

Tekashi was charged for racketeering and firearms along with four others. The men were due to be presented in Manhattan Federal Court today in the early evening.

The feds said Tekashi was involved in the gang conspiracy along with his ex-manager, Kifano (Shotti) Jordan, Jensel (Ish) Butler, Faheem (Crippy) Walter and Fuguan (Fu Banga)) Lovick.
Walter was charged last month with gang assault in connection with a shooting at a party in Midtown celebrating Tekashi dodging jail time yet again.

According to a spokesman for the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office, The five were arrested as part of a joint investigation by the NYPD, Homeland Security Investigations and ATF. It was also alleged that between 2013 and this month the crew committed multiple crimes to maintain the gang’s “power, territory and profits.” Members of Nine Trey sold heroin, fentanyl, MDMA and weed in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx, prosecutors charge.
The indictment also lists several alleged instances of violence involving Tekashi and his fellow accused gang members as follows:

  • On April 3, Tekashi, Jordan, Butler and Walter robbed rivals at gunpoint at 40th St. and 8th Ave.
  • On April 21, Lovick fired one shot inside the Barclays Center, according to the indictment. Manhattan prosecutors have said the incident during a boxing match at the arena stemmed from Tekashi’s beef with the rapper Cassanova.
  • On July 16, Tekashi, Jordan, Butler and Walter conspired to kill “an individual who had shown disrespect to Nine Trey.” The plan didn’t work and an innocent bystander was shot at Fulton St. and Utica Ave.
  • Tekashi’s entourage was involved in the rowdy shooting at Philippe’s, a tony Upper East Side restaurant on Madison Ave after his sentencing for the case involving a 13-year-old child.
  • Tekashi also faces misdemeanor assault charges in Houston for allegedly choking a fan in a mall.
  • Earlier this month, gunshots were fired at a Beverly Hills mansion where Tekashi was to film a music video with Kanye West and Nicki Minaj. Around the time of the the incident, Tekashi posted videos to his Instagram — which boasts 15 million followers — talking trash about the LA-based rapper Slim 400.

These new federal charges will likely impact Tekashi’s 4-years of probation and community service hours in the sex crime case.
