Brent Faiyaz‘s has released his second solo EP and it’s definitely hot. The EP opens with the sound of police sirens, helicopters and someone running until they’re breathless. The sounds makes one wonder; what is going on? Who’s after him and why?

The singer delivers heart chilling vocals throughout each track on the project. “Don’t test their bullets might press / Why they want to see me dead, I ain’t even grown yet,” he sings on “Why’z It So Hard,” giving us a personal feel of his emotions.

Five cuts follow after, however, they don’t cut as deep as “Why’z It So Hard.” But The lyricalism is still epic, evocative and intimate. Fans will fall in love with “Trust” which describes Faiyaz loneliness and “Came Right Back” where he sings about heartbreak.
