A Leaked Phone Call From Birdman in 2015 Serves as Evidence in Lil Wayne Bus Shooting

It was reported earlier that week that Young Thug and Birdman were listed as possible co-conspirators in the 2015 shooting of a Lil Wayne’s tour bus.
But in most recent news, an excerpted audio of a phone call between Birdman and accused shooter Jimmy “PeeWee Roscoe” Winfrey has surfaced and will be used as evidence. There’s also phone records showing Thugger calling Winfrey eight times in the minutes leading up to the shooting.
“It’s time for you to come out here and get your money, man . . . You done did everything you could do, boss,” Birdman says during the call. “It’s an eye-opener, bruh. Strictly business, man.”
The Cobb County District Attorney’s office announced on Friday that a decision regarding possible charges against both rappers would be made within the next few weeks.
The Atlanta Police Department claimed Winfrey was driving a white sports car and pulled up beside Wayne’s buses and opened fire, using a .40 caliber handgun and a 9mm handgun. Winfrey pleaded guilty to the shooting and received a 10-year sentence, but the conviction was overturned in 2017.
Now, Alvin Lewis—the driver of one of Wayne’s buses is taking legal action against the shooter, Thugger and Birdman. Lewis says that all three men “conspired in the shooting,” which resulted him dealing with “pain and suffering.”
