Travis Scott’s ‘Astroworld’ Debuts At No. 1 On The Billboard 200 Chart

Travis Scott’s Astroworld made it to the Billboard 200 chart, earning the rapper his second No. 1. album, according to Billboard.
Scott’s album, altogether, earned 537,000 units, making it the second-largest week of 2018 for an album. The only project to post a larger frame was Drake’s Scorpion, which began at 732,000 units, according to Billboard.
During the biggest sales week of 2018 for the album, 270,000 copies of Astroworld were sold, making it the largest sales week of the year for a project. The album also had 261,000 streaming equivalent album units. In other words, the album had 349.43 million on-demand audio streams during its debut tracking frame, making it the fifth-biggest weekly streaming haul for an album.
Drake’s Scorpion dropped to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 after five consecutive weeks of being No. 1 on the list. Scorpion had 117,000 equivalent album units.
Mac Miller’s Swimming was placed at No. 3 with 66,000 units. Out of that total, 30,000 were in traditional album sales. Due to this, Mac earned his fifth consecutive top five-charting release.
Coming in at No. 5, YG also earned his third top 10 rank with Stay Dangerous coming in with 11,000 in traditional album sales.
Based on Billboard 200 chart, Hip-hop is dominating the top 10. This will be the first time the entire top eight titles are all hip-hop projects.
