After taking a hiatus from music, Diggy Simmons is finally back with a new song, “It Is What It Is.” This single has more of a gospel sound compared to his past hiphop songs. The track features a gospel choir singing over a mass of violins as he raps inside a Harlem Church.

Along with this song, Diggy also dropped a video for it, directed by Emmanuel Afolabi.
The young rapper explained the meaning behind the record and mentioned a new album being on the way soon.
“I’m finally able to take a step back and say, ‘It is what it is. I’m happy with this. Here I am.’ A lot of people go through those ups and downs and sometimes you just need to let it be. The song really sets the tone for what is to come.m,” he says in a statement.
