Long time no see or hear from the Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda since he went away to prison back in 2016. This week we got the chance to hear from him in a phone interview with This Is 50.

During the interview he said he will not be released until 2020. He even took the time to speak on his rumored beef with Tekashi69, his relationship with Migos plus more.

In regards to his fallout with Tekashi, Bobby stated in the interview, “It ain’t no beef with son. It ain’t no problems.”

The rapper even followed up with a few compliments about 6ix9ine, saying his multi-colored hair was “entertainment” and that artists should feel free to express themselves.

Bobby later gave his respects to The Migos, saying he was proud of the rap group and their success. He also revealed that they all keep in touch often.

“That’s my bros,” he said. “I talked to them niggas like three months ago. Quavo told me to stay my black ass off 23 lockdown … I’m proud of them niggas, man … They still pick up the phone to this day. Check in, all of that.”

Bobby lended some advice to up-and-coming rappers about staying away from the slammer and focusing more on making money.

“Everybody keep me in tune and shit … I fuck with all the young boys that’s out there right now. All the music. I know what’s going on. I just wanted to tell niggas stay the fuck up outta jail. ‘Cause I be hearing about niggas getting locked up and shit like that. That shit ain’t cool … All that beef and all that dumb shit. Get money. Fuck all that. Nigga, don’t leave the hood to go back to jail,” said Shmurda.

The rapper was sent to prison after taking a plea deal for conspiracy and gun charges two years ago. And as Bobby said on the call; 2018 is almost over and then he will only have two short years left to serve. Hopefully we will get some new bangers upon his release.  Watch the full interview below.
