XXXTentacion Signed $10 Million Record Deal Weeks Before Death

A few weeks before his untimely death, the 20-year-old rapper XXXTentacion reportedly inked a $10 million deal, with Empire.
According to Empire CEO Ghazi Shami, X died with “a significant amount of material,” but unfortunately, there is a clause in the contract that may prevent his new projects from dropping until October.
According to Billboard, XXXTentacion’s music streams climbed 549% following his death, sending both of his albums back into the Top 5 and earning the him a No. 1 single, for “Sad!” That record has been played almost 384 million times on the streaming platform alone.
