Despite Early Concerns, SZA May Not Have Permanent Vocal Damage
by Karen
SZA is going to be ok. The ‘Weekend’ songstress took to Twitter to thank the doctors and vocal technicians who have been helping her as she dealt with what seemed to be a severe vocal injury. She also shut down her own jumping of the shark if you will when she prematurely tweeted out a few weeks ago that her voice is permanently damaged. Regardless, we’re happy that SZA is in a much better space.
Firstly I wanna thank everyone for sending me loving kindness and extending your energy my direction .Thank u for your prayers, I feel them and deeply appreciate you 🙏🏾❤ I love you.

Thank u to the incredible team of Doctors and vocal technicians that have taken time to see me over the last few weeks in every city. I’m blessed to say my voice is not permanently damaged and i’ve been working daily to get back. Slowly but surely.

In late May, TDE president Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith announced that SZA would be temporarily removed from the label’s Championship Tour. A week after that announcement, SZA returned during their NYC tour stop.
