The Internet Releases New Single ‘Come Over’
by Staff Editor
They’re back by popular demand. The Grammy nominated band dropped a second single ahead of their new album Hive Mind, set to release on July 20. While The Internet’s lead single from the project, “Roll (Burbank Funk)” has been circulating for a month now, Come Over is the perfect record to set the mood.
In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, band member Matt Martians explain the single’s direction:
“We were going to festivals the last year and we were listening to tempos, we kind of felt like our last albums were a little too groovy. When I started making the drums, I was like I want to make something that people can easily two-step to and you can just easily get into. So that’s how the drums started and Steve added guitar/bass. Syd started writing a song about a very true story.”
