You know what they say, more money, more problems. Cardi B has been smashing the billboard charts, breaking records, and setting the record straight about being young and successful. Ever since the five time platinum reign of Bodak Yellow, the Bronx rapper has been coming for every person that doubted her abilities.
As we’ve seen many times, success doesn’t come without a price. Cardi’s former manager, who goes by the name Shaft, is reportedly suing her for $10 million dollars. According to Page Six, he feels he was “sidelined” and “left out of her phenomenal success.”
Shaft filed federal lawsuit against her Thursday, stating that his input helped go from Instagram girl to megastar. He also claims that he helped produce Bodak Yellow.
In a statement to Page Six, one of Shaft’s reps says, “Since discovering Cardi B in 2015, Shaft has played an integral role in developing her music career and public image. While he is proud of their successful collaborations as she evolved from Instagram influencer to music megastar, Shaft is disappointed by her actions to freeze him out of her career, which are detailed in the complaint. Shaft is confident that his lawsuit will validate his conduct and substantiate his legal claims.”
