You’re from Atlanta, how do you think your hometown has influenced your career?
Kodie Shane: I have so much love for Atlanta, they’ve embraced me since I started. They’ve had a big influence in my career and I know you can hear some Atlanta in my music because that’s where I stay at, that’s where I’m at.
When would you did you start taking music seriously for yourself?
Kodie Shane: I was 16-years-old when I really started to get into music. Growing up, I always knew music was going to a part of me. You know when people get into things at such a young age, that’s how I feel music. I haven’t known anything else other than music.
What is your creative process when writing music?
Kodie Shane: I try to do what I feel. For me, it’s all about the energy. I don’t really think too hard. I just go in the studio and feel the vibes. I don’t even have to be in the studio, I can be anywhere. I just have to feel the vibe and energy.
Just a few days ago, you were on Instagram Live with Trippie Redd and you guys we’re talking about a few things. One of which was new music. Can we expect a dope collab from you two?
Kodie Shane: Yes, Trippie Reed is my guy. We have some stuff coming for the fans. We’re working on something together and it’s going to be crazy. I’ve worked with him before but now it’s just newer stuff. Ya’ll have to stay tuned!
