After announcing the name of his newest album, Father of Asahd, DJ Khaled has penned a heartwarming letter in a form of a video to his one-year-old son, Asahd.

The video features adorable footage of Asahd dancing, smiling, and playing, while his proud papa talks throughout the clip.

“Here’s a major key,” the Miami hitmakers says in the video. “Our children give us the ultimate name, the greatest title, the highest honor. My son has given me my new name. Father of Asahd. Today, that’s what I’m naming my new album.”

He goes on with “we’re all grateful for those that came before us and know that I am. I got everything from my mother and father. Now, I’m grateful for the ones that’s coming after me. My son Asahd is my legacy, my love, my lion. That’s what Asahd means: lion.”

“He’s what gives me hope and purpose,” adds Khaled. “He’s my inspiration and motivation. When Asahd smiles at me, it’s God smiling at me. Love did that. The power of love did that.”
