Just a few weeks back, Joey Bada$$ performed a cover of Prince’s “When Doves Cry,” the cover was amazing that the Brooklyn rapper decided to drop the studio version titled “Thugz Cry.”

“To this day my mum is the biggest Prince fan, she always played Prince around the house, put me on to Prince at such an early age,” said Joey. “Me and her we used to always sing “When Doves Cry” together, so I made my own version. It’s called “Thugz Cry.”
