Rae Sremmurd’s Next Release Will Be A Triple Disc Album, According to Mike WiLL Made It
by Staff Editor
Rae Sremmurd’s third official release is set to be a big one after Mike WiLL Made It revealed to Pitchfork that the duo’s next drop will be a triple album.
“We got the Swae Lee, Swaecation, [Slim] Jxmmi’s Jxmtroduction, and then the Rae Sremmurd side,” Mike WiLL tells the publication on the red carpet at last night’s Grammys. While it’s still not finalized yet, the super producer said they’re considering the name Sremmin’ for the “Rae Sremmurd side” of the triple album release.
In August of last year, the duo released their first single from the new album “Perplexing Pegasus” and later followed up with a trippy visual in November. With other collabs on the horizon, including a new banger with Kendrick Lamar, we have high hopes for Rae Sremmurd’s next release.
With the modern day streaming/RIAA rules, it’s not surprising that we’re seeing the influx of long-length albums recently. Chris Brown somewhat kicked off the new trend with his Heartbreak On A Full Moon album, Quality Control followed suit with their compilation album, and just this past Friday Migos dished out 24 tracks with Culture II. Expect to see this trend continue in 2018.
