The very first Civil Court of 2018 is a very special one as the KarenCivil.com team break down the nominees for the annual biggest night in music, the Grammys. Instead of our traditional format of battling out a topic, we collectively voted on what we believed would be the way the Recording Academy picks their winners at the Grammy Awards this Sunday (1/28).

Across the board, nominations are stacked. Hip-hop pits Kendrick Lamar vs. Jay Z in an intriguing battle for many best hip-hop awards and also face heavy competition from Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino and the “Despacito” crew in the major categories.
