Cipha Sounds shocked the radio world when he announced that he was leaving Hot 97 in 2015. For 17 years, the DJ-comedian gave everything to his radio career until he felt it was time to move on.

After leaving Hot 97, Sounds was able to devote his time to comedy and his improv shows at the UCB Theatre.

Fast forward to 2018, 3 years after his departure, Sounds returns to radio but this time to Power 105’s The Breakfast Club to talk about his radio career, breaking Rihanna, Rick Ross, and Clipse’s “Grinding” on the radio, stand up comedy, and much more.
