Kanye vs. 50 Cent

A Hip Hop beef that will go down in history with the genre, this “beef” was different than what is expected when two Hip Hop acts are going head to head with each other. A matter to see just who was the best, the challenge came when Kanye moved up his original Graduation release date to September 11, which fell in line with the release of 50 Cent’s 3rd studio LP, Curtis. With 50 Cent vowing to not release another album if he didn’t come out on top, we all know how that inevitably played out. Kanye took the top spot with nearly 1 million albums sold in his first week, just in the U.S. alone. Even bigger than that, it ignited a passion between fanbases. If you weren’t aware that you were a Kanye West stan before, this was the moment when all the stops were pulled out, plans were executed, and it was a mission for Yeezy to take no. 1. I’m guilty as charged.
