Well #DAMN!
Kendrick Lamar took over the 2nd quarter of 2017 when he released his critically acclaimed new album DAMN.. Since it’s release, the album has seen 4 non-consecutive number 1 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and has performed well in terms of sales and streams.
It’s been 13 weeks since Kendrick’s impressive album held the number 1 spot, but this week that changes. Edging out country singer Brett Eldredge, Kendrick’s DAMN. album is number 1 this week selling a total of 47,000 units.
According to Billboard, DAMN.‘s 13-week break from the top spot is the longest in more than four years. Before then it was Mumford & Sons’ Babel, which returned to No. 1 after 17 weeks. Incredible!
Congrats to Kendrick and all of TDE. Go cop DAMN. on iTunes if you’re one of the few who still haven’t.
