It’s already been two grueling weeks since the entertainment world lost one of NY rap’s pioneers, Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Thanks to the many people who were close to P, his memory has lived on in a beautiful way.

This past weekend during popular Netherlands festival Woo Hah!, Nas had a headlining set and took a moment during it to pay homage to his fallen comrade Prodigy. Mr. Jones performed the Mobb’s classic track “Shook Ones” and was met with “RIP Prodigy!” chants.

Two weeks ago, on June 20th, it was announced that Prodigy had passed away from complications from his lifelong Sickle Cel Anemia disease. His memory will forever last and it’s moments like what happened at Woo Hah! to remind us how special P really was.
