Best Collaboration:
Rae Sremmurd Feat. Gucci Mane – Black Beatles
It was the number one hashtag that took over the world. Everywhere you looked people were remaking the famous #MannequinChallenge with Rae Sremmurd’s smash hit. Not to mention, “Black Beatles” also earned the Atlanta based duo their first number 1 hit.
Best Male HipHop Artist:
Drake
As much as I would like Chance The Rapper, J Cole, and Kendrick Lamar to take Best Male HipHop Artist tonight, Drake will take this spot. Drizzy is that one artist who’s been dominating the charts left and right, and has given many of us the ideal Instagram captions since day one (lol).
Best Female HipHop Artist:
Cardi B
I’m here to see Cardi B win! The realty T.V. star turned rapper has captivated the Hip-Hop world, and in all honesty, Cardi has a lot of potential. Yes, there’s a big possibility that Nicki Minaj coould take this award for the 5th year in a row but I really would like to see Cardi B dominate!
Best New Artist:
Chance The Rapper
So why exactly is Chance The Rapper in a “Best New Artist” category? In my opinion, Chance isn’t new the music scene but I call the shoots that our favorite Chicago-Independent rapper will sweep this Best New Artist spot at the 2017 BET Awards tonight.
Video of the Year:
Migos Feat. Lil Uzi Vert – Bad and Boujee
Atlanta stand up! I’d like to see Migos take Video of the Year. The ATL trio has so much confident in their music, and their success has been setting trends all over the world.
