Today, BET has announced that popular comedian and actress Leslie Jones will be the official host for this year’s BET Awards. Taking place on Sunday, June 25th at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, we’re in for a big treat with this year’s show.

“I am so excited to be hosting The BET Awards this year,” said Leslie. “BET was the first network and place where I was on TV – I am looking to turn this whole experience into a joyful homecoming.”

Leslie joins an impressive list of past BET Awards hosts including Chris Rock, Mo’Nique, Kevin Hart, Chris Tucker and more.

As previously announced, Beyoncé leads this year’s nominations with a total of seven, followed by Bruno Mars with six, and Solange, Chance The Rapper and Migos each rake in four. We wonder who will stand out.
