9pm then hit the clock and fans started to chant Lil Wayne’s name as they anxiously waited for the best rapper alive to hit the stage. Soon after that Lil Wayne took the stage and gave us every single hit you can imagine.
Weezy took us back to his Weezy Mixtape days and had the entire amphitheater rapping to his classic songs like “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “Lollipop,” “A Millie,” “Love Me,” Mrs. Officer,” and “She Will.”
Last but not least, the main headliner of the night, Big Sean, rolled through to close out Powerhouse 2017. And around that same time, it started to hail but that didn’t stop Sean Don as he kicked things off with “Moves.” The Detroit rapper didn’t even question the loyal Power 106 listeners as they stayed put – rain and all – and rapped along to “Bounce Back,” “Beware,” “My Last,” and “IDFWU.”
Needless to say, Power 106 gave the Inland Empire, and their Los Angeles radio listeners another sold-out concert they’ll never forget! – Lupe Looove
