Could it be that the Young Money leader is making another label his newfound home? For some time now, there’s been murmurings of a business relationship between Lil Wayne and the people over at Roc Nation. In its early stages of the rumors, we soon found out that Lil Wayne and Jay Z’s “Roc Nation partnership” was simply for TIDAL, in which Weezy F Baby became another big act to have part ownership of the streaming company.
Now, years later, we can prep those same rumors again as they’re being fueled by Lil Wayne himself. Taking on performance duties at Slippery Rock University, the Carter V creator had some choice words that makes it all black and white about his place at Roc Nation.
As the past several months have been relatively rocky for the rapper when it comes to the release of his highly anticipated Carter V album, it would be no real surprise if Lil Wayne is seeking to take his talents elsewhere. Whether these words from Wayne are true or not, a music-related partnership between him and the Roc would most definitely be something powerful to witness.
