Today marks the 20th anniversary of the tragic death of hip-hop pioneer and icon The Notorious B.I.G. The industry has been celebrating the short-lived career of Biggie Smalls all day today (March 9), but the tributes are just getting started.
The Brooklyn Nets have announced today that they will be hosting “Biggie Day” at the Barclays Center this Sunday (March 12) during the Nets game vs. the New York Knicks.
Throughout the game, Biggie’s music will be played throughout the arena, and fans can expect to see a video montage playing on the scoreboard paying homage to the NY legend. In attendance will be Diddy, Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace and his four children, who will all be part of a special ceremony before the game and again at halftime.
