West Coast radio station 93.5 KDAY made sure to start 2017 with a bang as they hosted their Rap Show concert in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday night (January 14). Packed with a full house, the “Back In The Day Hits” station recruited some of Hip-Hop’s biggest veterans as fans gathered in Downtown L.A’s Shrine Auditorium where the concert brought hits after hits.
By 7:30, DJ Showtime started playing some classic West Coast Hip-Hop before KDAY’s on-air personality, PJ Butta introduced the first act of the night, West Covina’s own Hi-Tone.
Hi-Tone warmed up the crowd while ticketholders were still making their way to their seats. PJ Butta deemed Hi-Tone as one of Cali’s most promising artists in the game, and then the “No Xanax Needed” rapper came out to perform a brief set, including his recent gems from “Purpose,” to “Unity,” and “Idols.”
Following in his footsteps at around 8:10 was West Coast Kam, who performed singles like “Regime Change,” “Once Upon A Rhyme,” and “Benefits” alongside Tone. If you’re from the west, you know how epic this was.
